what is coaching?
the coaching process
Coaching is a supportive, enabling and empowering relationship that honours your autonomy and supports you in being responsible for living your vision.
“Coaching is unlocking people’s potential to maximize their own performance. It is helping them to learn rather than teaching them.” Sir John Whitmore.
Coaching builds self-awareness and engages your personal will. It helps you to move through limiting mindsets and to recognise the steps you are most willing and ready to take towards your vision and goals.
As incorporation coaches we hold bi-focal vision, this means we work in two directions to support self-actualisation and expression of your vision. The first direction is from the Self towards the personality and the second is from the personality towards the Self- hence we support you to build a bridge between the two. Coaching focuses on what is happening for you in the here and now and what your future possibilities are.
“Coaching focuses on future possibilities, not past mistakes” Sir John Whitmore
Both Alex and Jon have a wealth of coaching experience, they train and supervise other coaches and remain in continued professional training and supervision themselves. The basis for their coaching work is their six-year training in coaching, counselling and psychotherapy at the Institute of Psychosynthesis, London.
Our coaching method is grounded in Psychosynthesis, a psychology focused on integrating spiritual awakening and supporting individuals to create a purposeful life aligned with their truth.
Our structure is formed of 6 x 1 hour sessions (allow up to 1.5hr for first session). We recommend sessions are spaced fortnightly or monthly depending upon your need and schedule – the timing of the sessions will be agreed with your coach during the first session. We recognise there is currently little incorporation coaching available and a great need and we welcome those that have quested with other providers from all around the world. The process can happen in person, by skype/facetime or phone.
Having received coaching, we appreciate it is not always easy to take the first step so please feel free to email or call with any questions, or get in touch using the form below for a free, no obligation chat.
