Entering the Women’s Lodge
Coming home to wild feminine intuition

Guided by Alex Hatfield, co-founder of Wild Rites.
Limited to 10 Places. Lake District National Park.

“WHAT DO YOU WANT?”
“I have come for fire, Grandmother.”
“AND WHY SHOULD I GIVE YOU FIRE?”
“Because I ask?”
- Vasilisa the Wise and Baba Yaga

The Women’s’ Lodge is the most feminine place on the Medicine Wheel. The Medicine Wheel is a map of human wholeness deep-rooted in Nature. To enter the Women’s Lodge is to be in relationship with the divine feminine in you. Traditionally the Lodge was the place of all things Feminine (rather than female) and whilst this lodge was tended by the women, others entered too. Each time a person went to the Lodge they entered the world of the Feminine with utter respect and reverence.

Spending 5 days together we listen deeply to the wisdom of the Feminine held within the fairy-tale of “Vasilisa the Wise” and use this timeless tale as a gateway to exploring the feminine archetypal symbols and powers. As one participant wisely puts it “You will enter a safe space to explore the unconscious agreements and roles you hold and re-enact – the good girl, the dutiful daughter, the perfect partner, the evil stepsisters otherwise known as those diminishing inner voices, the all–giving nurturer, the devouring mother.”

The Lodge invites us to more fully embrace our life and the feminine archetypes that move in us. The Lodge respects Nature as a living Being and mirror to your personal Self. The Lodge acknowledges the lived experience of the feminine in you. If you are ready to cross the threshold into the Women’s Lodge, then read on …

It takes tremendous courage to travel through unvisited corners of our psyche, to rediscover and trust our deepest inner seeing, inner hearing, inner knowing

As a woman lives them, she will understand more and more her interior feminine rhythms. The rhythms of creativity, of solitude, of play, of rest, of sexuality, and of the hunt.”
— Clarissa Pinkola Estes

What happens on Entering the Women’s Lodge?

  • You are invited to see the wild feminine in you. To see yourself anew though the eyes of the mythical feminine archetypes and the seasons of your own life via journeying with a powerful fairy-tale.

  • We reconnect to nature within and nature without by taking solo medicine walks where Nature can be our mirror.

  • You will explore and make space in yourself for your light and shadow aspects of your psyche.

  • We listen deeply to the wisdom of the Feminine held within the fairy-tale “Vasilisa the Wise” and use this as a gateway to exploring the feminine archetypal symbols and powers in you.

  • You will enter into a greater breadth of womanhood that doesn’t involve severing off ‘unwanted’ parts and concealing your essence in exchange for fitting in and keeping the peace.

  • Through ceremony and the deep group work of Council we will listen and speak from the heart. We are heard and we witness one another.

  • You will enter a safe space to explore the unconscious agreements and roles you hold and re-enacted – e.g. the good girl, the dutiful daughter, the perfect partner, the evil stepsister (the diminishing inner voices), the all – giving nurturer, the devouring mother –beyond the confines of the mind, and as a truly embodied experience.

  • You will encounter the Earth Mother and Nature as the sacred Feminine Being who is deep relationship with you every day.

Who is this 5-day experience for?

  • Those who seek to understand how the feminine archetypes manifest in their inner world.

  • Those who want to spend some time exploring their inner world with Nature as a mirror.

  • Those who want a lived experience of the power of ceremony together with other women and the other-than-human world.

  • Those who want to learn how to work with a fairy-tale as a map of their inner world and the archetypal symbols the tale possesses.

“Only by discovering and loving the goddess lost within our rejected body can we hear our own authentic voice.”

What others say …

My relationship to the divine feminine has transformed my sense of self, by re-membering and reclaiming my inner power, authority and authenticity.
My wild woman stands tall as a guardian for all that is precious and vulnerable in our world. I know her through my call to the wild, the hum of my voice, my blood and my bones, all made of this earth.
I feel freer, deepened and expanded and I feel confidence in speaking my truth, claiming my ground and a much deeper connection to the whole of life. Its been a journey of creating, dance, play, making, laughing, crying, loving, wandering, and singing!
Connection and dialogue with my intuition and instinct, my relationship to the divine feminine has opened immensely.
